EMERGENCY RADIO

Purpose:

1. Listen to LOCAL information during a disaster

when there are no cell or Internet services.

2. Have 2-Way communication when there are

no other ways to communicate.

Under normal conditions these radios are only used by

FCC Licensed Radio operators for 2-Way communications.

These radios can be used by anyone (unlicensed) when life

or property are in danger.

A popular Emergency Radio is the Baofeng UV-5R,

UV5RA or BF-F8HP Dual Band radio. About $25.

You DO NOT have to be licensed to purchase these radios.

The Radio should be programmed for Thousand Oaks,

Moorpark and Santa Rosa Valley (help available).

Use 146.580MHz for TO & 445.000 / PL 77.0 for MP & SRV

We practice every Wednesday & 1^st Sunday of the month at 7pm
